No need to be fanatical about it. But take a few minutes, here and there, to remind yourselves that a well-placed plié, tendu, balancé can do wonders for your spirit as well as helping to keep yourselves fit and balletic trim.
Those of you who are familiar with our class warm-ups will know what I'm talking about when I suggest that you play a favorite tune (Cyndi or Adam come to mind) and stretch to counts of 4, the way we've been doing them throughout the year.
Find yourself a barre -- a chair will do -- and practice the movements I've taught you, first right, then left, side, to a count of 8. Ten minutes here and there is terrific. Five minutes will do.
And, of course, there's always the bus stop breaks where it's easy and inconspicuous to practice foot pointing and shoulder movements. Other people will simply be waiting for the bus. You'll be toning and stretching without anyone the wiser.
